Participants Are Fundraising for 85 Local Charities as Part of the Scotiabank Charity Challenge
CALGARY, AB - May 24, 2016 /CNW/ - Over 12,000 runners will hit the roads of Calgary for the 52nd annual Scotiabank Calgary Marathon on May 29. Many runners will be raising funds for one of the 85 charities associated with the 2016 Scotiabank Charity Challenge in Calgary, including the three local Featured Charities:
A last minute Charity Challenge entry is the Canadian Red Cross - Alberta Fires Appeal.

Scotiabank proudly hosts a Scotiabank Charity Challenge at each of the Bank's six sponsored marathon events across Canada including Montreal, Halifax, Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto.
"Since 2003, our runners nationally have raised over $46 million for community charities and in 2016, together, we are racing to surpass the $50 million fundraising milestone," said Mr. Stang.
The Scotiabank Charity Challenge is a turnkey fundraising program that provides a simple way for race participants to support local causes that make a significant impact on Canadian communities. Participating charities keep 100% of the proceeds raised, as Scotiabank pays for all transaction and credit card fees.
