CALGARY, AB - January 18, 2016 /CNW/ - Olympian, World Champion and Canadian women's hockey star Cassie Campbell-Pascall will lace up for the 8^th annual Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest in Calgary, and coach over 300 young female athletes on Sunday, January 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

"We are excited to celebrate the 8^th annual Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest here in Calgary, bringing girls face to face with elite female hockey players," said Delainie James, District Banking Manager at Scotiabank. "Being part of a team is a living example of how we're better together. It's inspiring to see young female hockey players demonstrate teamwork, passion and have the chance to learn from Canadian role models, helping them to pursue their goals both on and off the ice." 

Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest is available at no cost to girls aged 7-14. With support from Cassie Campbell-Pascall, the University of Calgary Dinos women's hockey team and SAIT Trojans will run on- and off-ice training sessions. The day will also include a behind-the-scenes tour of the Scotiabank Saddledome and a keynote address from Cassie Campbell-Pascall on the importance of teamwork and giving back to the community.
