    MEDIA ADVISORY: Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada Comes to Kamloops

    KAMLOOPS, BC - February 02, 2016 /CNW/ -  

    Attention Sports, Assignment, Community & Photo Editors

    Canada's biggest celebration of hockey arrives in Kamloops this week. Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada's cross-country celebrations will begin on February 3 with a series of community hockey events, culminating in a 13-hour broadcast featuring all seven Canadian NHL® teams in action. Broadcast starts at 12:00 p.m. EST.

    Wednesday, February 3

    19:45-23:00 Opening Face-Off Event - Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada kick off celebrations with an outdoor celebration and concert. This event is free.

    Thursday, February 4

    09:00-10:00 Stanley Cup® visits Bert Edwards Science and Technology School - Kids get the chance to get up close to the Stanley Cup® and NHL Alumni™. Hosted by James Cybulski and Caroline Cameron.

    4:00-7:00 p.m.  Scotiabank Kids Hot Stove Hockey stars will field questions from young hockey players from local Scotiabank-sponsored minor hockey teams. The players will have the chance to get autographs and have their photos taken with the Stanley Cup®.
