Scotiabank and CONCACAF Kick Off Partnership With the Under-20 Championship in Jamaica

TORONTO, ON - January 07, 2015 /CNW/ - Scotiabank, as part of their recently announced partnership with the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association of Football (CONCACAF), is proud to sponsor the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship tournament and support future football stars.

From January 9-24, 2015, twelve countries will gather in Jamaica to compete in the tournament, which determines the regional youth champion and the Confederation's four qualifiers for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand taking place May 30 to June 20, 2015.

The 2015 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship tournament will be hosted at the National Stadium in Kingston and the Montego Bay Sports Complex in Montego Bay. The participating countries are Aruba, Canada, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago and the USA. On December 9, Scotiabank announced that it has become the Official Bank of CONCACAF and the league's first official partner. As part of this agreement, Scotiabank will also become the title sponsor of the Champions League and the Caribbean Nations Cup and a sponsor of the Gold Cup. The multi-year agreement also includes support for multiple CONCACAF youth tournaments including the 2016 Olympic qualifying events and the Men's and Women's Under-20, Under-17 and Under-15 tournaments. The newly-named Scotiabank Champions League tournament will resume in February 2015.
