Gordie Howe Helps Recognize Wendel Clark, Curtis Joseph, Mike Krushelnyski and Kevin Maguire During Annual Celebration at Baycrest

TORONTO, ON - November 12, 2013 /CNW/ - The 2013 Baycrest Pro-Am Hockey Hall of Fame inductees were announced today during a special ceremony at Baycrest Health Sciences. Inducted by Gordie Howe, a true hockey hero, long-time Baycrest supporter and member of the Baycrest Pro-Am Hockey Hall of Fame himself, the inductees included celebrated NHL alumni Wendel Clark, Curtis Joseph, Mike Krushelnyski and Kevin Maguire, along with dedicated Scotiabank Pro-Am for Alzheimer's™ supporters. Recognized for their dedication to the hockey tournament, now in its ninth year, these inductees have assisted in raising millions for Alzheimer's research at Baycrest.

The Baycrest Pro-Am Hockey Hall of Fame highlights and honours individuals who have gone above and beyond for Baycrest's annual Scotiabank Pro-Am for Alzheimer's hockey tournament, reconnecting key participants with the cause for which they fundraise. This year a total of 10 people were inducted under the categories of Player, Builder, and NHL Alumni.

Having raised more than $100,000 each since they began playing in the tournament, Steven Forberg, Alex Jurshevski, Irv Kleiner and Steven Little were inducted into the Player category. Builder inductees included Stan Feldman and Mark Gryfe who, through their ongoing support, encouragement and faith in the event, have helped the tournament grow and become the success it is today. Going above and beyond the call of duty for the Pro-Am, Wendel Clark, Curtis Joseph, Mike Krushelnyski, and Kevin Maguire were all inducted into the NHL Alumni category.
