Scotiabank Surprises Local Minor Hockey Team With Stanley Cup® Appearance

Meadowvale Hawks Hockey Team Receives Surprise of a Lifetime When Stanley Cup® Visits Practice

MISSISSAUGA, ON - February 02, 2014 /CNW/ - Mississauga's Meadowvale Hawks received an unforgettable surprise today when the iconic Stanley Cup® was brought into the team dressing room just before their practice began.

"We are so excited to bring the Stanley Cup® to the Meadowvale Hawks as part of the Scotiabank Surprise & Delight campaign," said Sandra Dunnett, Scotiabank Branch Manager. "The Stanley Cup® is such a tremendous example of what can be achieved through teamwork, sportsmanship and camaraderie. We are proud to recognize the Meadowvale Hawks for the great work they have done as a team, both on the ice and off with their volunteer work in the community."

The Meadowvale Hawks are part of the Mississauga Hockey League, which is supported by Scotiabank.

Suited up in their hockey gear, players posed for shots with the iconic Stanley Cup®. Following their practice, the team was treated to a special photo session and after-party which gave them a chance to get up-close to the Cup.
