Former Canadian women's hockey Olympians Sami Jo Small and Cherie Piper are teaming up to coach over 300 female minor hockey players at Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest Manitoba in Winnipeg on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Hockey Manitoba and Scotiabank are bringing the event to the selected players on day one of Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest Manitoba; Brandon will have their turn on Monday, February 17, 2014.
The girls will have an unforgettable day of skills training, fun and encouragement to inspire them to reach for their goals. The all-day event is comprised of on and off-ice training, a community outreach component and a keynote address from both coaches. During the event, there will also be a special goalie clinic and a training program for hockey coaches.
