Nepean Raider Minor Hockey Team Receives Surprise of a Lifetime When Stanley Cup(R) Shows Up at Team Meeting

 

 

 

NEPEAN, ON - April 30, 2014 /CNW - The Nepean Raider Minor Peewee B Black hockey team received an unforgettable surprise today when the iconic Stanley Cup® was brought to their local arena during an end of season team party.

"We are excited to bring the Stanley Cup to the Nepean Raider Minor Peewee B Black team as part of the Scotiabank Surprise & Delight campaign," said Glenn Bullock, Scotiabank Branch Manager. "The Stanley Cup is a great example of what can be accomplished through hard work and dedication. We are proud to recognize the Raiders for what they have achieved as a team, both on the ice and off through their volunteer work."

The Nepean Raider Minor Peewee B Black hockey team is supported by the Scotiabank Community Hockey Sponsorship Program, which supports over 5,000 minor hockey teams in communities across Canada.

During their team party, the kids had a chance to get up-close to the Stanley Cup® and take a special photo memento to remember the experience. The team was also given wristbands featuring the tag #scotiahockey to wear as a reminder of their efforts of giving back to the community this year.
