Boston Marathon Champ and Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon Contender to Run With High School Students

OTTAWA, ON - May 06, 2014 /CNW - 2012 Boston Marathon champ and 2014 Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon contender Wesley Korir will be doing a Q&A and a short training run with 40 high school students from Bell High School tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.

The event is taking place on the same day the Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon elite roster is released.

Korir, an Kenyan MP who is married to Canadian elite runner Tarah McKay-Korir, is in Ottawa to promote "tRANscend" a new documentary, which follows him from the grinding poverty of Kenya to the peak of marathon success in the US and back to Kenya as he risks it all to become MP of his native Cherangany. The film is being screened tonight for Members of Parliament.
