Scotia iTRADE Optimizes Client Experience With Realized Gains & Losses Functionality for Direct Investors

TORONTO, ON - May 29, 2014 /CNW/ - Scotia iTRADE® today announced enhanced account functionality that will enable direct investors to quickly and easily check Realized Gains and Losses (RGL) information on their divested holdings when they log on to their Scotia iTRADE account.

"Scotia iTRADE is continuously seeking opportunities to optimize the client experience and to provide investors with easy access to the tools and resources they need," said Susi McCord, Managing Director, Business Development at Scotia iTRADE. "Our clients can now view RGL data at an account summary level or drill deeper to the transaction or specific security levels, empowering them to decide how much and what type of RGL information they want."

Additional benefits of RGL information include:

  • Simplified year-end profit and loss calculation through a convenient summary of profits and losses for the year;
  • The ability to check the profitability of closed trades by viewing gains and losses incurred on divested holdings; and
  • Archived information dating back to January 2014, accessible at all times.

This new functionality follows Scotia iTRADE's recent introduction of $4.99 per trade for active investors -- an industry-leading commission among bank-owned online brokerages that applies to both equity and option trading.
