How to support Hurricane Irma relief efforts

Scotiabank is now accepting donations at Canadian branches

TORONTO, Sept. 12, 2017 /CNW/ - With the damage caused by Hurricane Irma being evaluated throughout the Caribbean, and relief efforts underway, Canadian Scotiabank branches are accepting donations to the Canadian Red Cross beginning today.

Scotiabank (CNW Group/Scotiabank)

Donations can be made:

  • online by visiting the Canadian Red Cross Hurricane Irma donation page; or,
  • by making a donation at any Scotiabank branch across Canada. Please indicate that your donation is in support of the Canadian Red Cross Hurricane Irma Appeal.

Our thoughts remain with everyone affected by Hurricane Irma. The damage has resulted in a number of fatalities and caused damage to infrastructure, cutting communities off from water and electricity. We are continuing to assess the impact on our business operations.

Customers having banking questions or needing support can find the appropriate contact information here.

Last week Scotiabank announced a $500,000 USD donation in support of the relief efforts of Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean.
