Scotiabank reinforces its commitment to Quebec City area

Donations made to three local institutions to celebrate opening of new branch in St-Romuald

QUEBEC CITY, June 19, 2017 /CNW/ - Scotiabank is celebrating the expansion of its activities with the opening of a brand new retail branch in St. Romuald in Quebec City today.  To highlight this opening and illustrate its commitment to the region, Scotiabank has made significant donations to three local organizations that are committed to helping young people reach their infinite potential:  the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec  (CHUQ), Université Laval, and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (MNBAQ).

Located at 1244 Rue de la Concorde, Levis QC, this full service branch offers customers extended hours and innovative technology that enable them to work alongside an advisor, or use self-service banking services tailored to fit their needs. As customers' needs for branch banking continue to evolve, Scotiabank works to provide new options that complement its banking channels to give users a choice in how they do their banking.

The new Scotiabank branch in St. Romuald also offers:

  • A dedicated Small Business Advisor
  • Three full service ABMs in the branch, including a drive-thru ABM
  • Designated customer parking
  • Convenient hours

This new branch will be open 9:30 a.m.5:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday; 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The new branch is wheelchair accessible.

Scotiabank will be making a total donation of $1 million to three local organizations, including $500,000 to the CHUQ over the next five years to support a teen health research program, $250,000 over the next ten years to the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Laval for student bursaries, and $250,000 to the MNBAQ for its new Pierre Lassonde Pavillion and Young Adults at the MNBAQ program to facilitate access to art for young people. Young people are our future leaders and Scotiabank's goal is to help ensure that they have the necessary skills and resources they need to support their success.
