EDMONTON, Oct. 18, 2013 /CNW/ - Scotiabank today announced that Lisa Mae Buchanan from Fort McMurray has been named the Eskimos 2013 Season Scotiabank Game Changer at the final game of the regular season.  She was recognized on the field during the second quarter of the game for the outstanding work that she has done in the community and awarded a $25,000 donation for the charity or registered non-profit organization of her choice, the Northern Lights Health Foundation. She also won a trip for two to the 101^st Grey Cup Game in Regina, along with other prizes.

Lisa Mae Buchanan is a dedicated volunteer and has worked on many causes, like volunteering with her dog for the PAWS Therapeutic Dog Handing program to promote hospital patient interaction and recovery, selling raffle tickets, raising awareness for breast cancer, volunteering for health care events and being an enthusiastic mascot for her local hockey team. She is a leader in her community, helping encourage and support teens that are new to volunteering.

Lisa Mae was selected as the 2013 Season Game Changer from a group of eight finalists who had each been named a Home-Game Scotiabank Game Changer earlier in the season and were awarded a $1,000 donation for their designated charity. Lisa Mae was selected as the favourite Game Changer based on a combination of fan voting and a judging panel.

During the CFL regular season, Scotiabank has recognized 24 Scotiabank Game Changers across sponsored CFL markets.

Looking ahead, the top Game Changer for Hamilton will be announced at the upcoming final regular season games for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on October 26. The top Game Changer for Saskatchewan will be announced at the final Roughriders regular season game on November 2.
