Former Ottawa Senators player Brad Marsh coaches at first Scotiabank Community HockeyFest in Ottawa

OTTAWA, Sept. 26, 2013 /CNW/ - NHL Alumni and former Ottawa Senators player Brad Marsh will coach over 100 minor hockey players at the first ever Scotiabank Community HockeyFest in Ottawa on Sunday September 29 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. This FREE event is the first of a 10 part hockey series for both boys and girls, which will take place over the fall of 2013 and into the early months of 2014 for the 10 participating districts in Ottawa.

The first event will take place at Bell Sensplex and will provide a unique blend of skills training, fun and encouragement to inspire kids to reach for their goals on and off the ice. Participants will have a fun and inspiring day of on and off-ice skills training and a keynote address from the former NHL star on how hard work and dedication helped him reach his goals.

  Certified instructors from the Ottawa Senators hockey programs
  Over 100 minor hockey players from novice, atom, peewee and bantam levels (boys and girls ages 7 - 14 years)

9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - The boys and girls will rotate between on-ice skills training, off-ice skills training and a keynote address.
11:15 a.m. - Brad Marsh keynote presentation begins
