Program will recognize community heroes throughout New Brunswick
MONCTON, Aug. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Scotiabank today announced that it will extend its popular Scotiabank Game Changers program to New Brunswick in celebration of the CFL's NAPA Touchdown Atlantic game. The program will award one community hero $10,000 towards the charity or cause of their choice at the big game between the Montreal Alouettes and Hamilton Tiger-Cats in Moncton on September 21 at 5pm.
"Scotiabank Game Changers gives people the opportunity to look into the heart of their communities and find individuals who make a difference every day," said Martin MacCool, Scotiabank Vice President, New Brunswick, Eastern PEI District. "We know there are a lot of people in New Brunswick who are doing great things in their community, and that's why we're so excited to be able to offer this program to local residents."
For five weeks leading up to NAPA Touchdown Atlantic, Scotiabank Game Changers can be nominated by the community at large starting August 8th. The public will have the chance to vote for their favourite Scotiabank Game Changer online. Based on a combination of fan voting and a judging panel, the winner will receive $10,000 for the charity of their choice, a VIP NAPA Touchdown Atlantic Game experience for four, and on field recognition at the CFL game on September 21st in Moncton.
