Media Advisory/Photo Op - Scotiabank's Summer of FREE movie tour visits Red Deer with Maverick on a ranch

RED DEER, AB, July 17, 2013 /CNW/ - Scotiabank presents the Summer of FREE national movie tour which gives Canadians an opportunity to vote for and watch movies in unique outdoor venues for free. The tour's next stop is Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, July 24 at Heritage Ranch. What better place to see Maverick than on the open range?

Canadians across the country helped to choose the winning movie through the Summer of FREE Facebook Contest - www.facebook.com/Scotiabank - that asked: Which classic western would you want to see in the Wild West? Maverick earned the top spot with 45.7% of the vote.

Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit back and relax under the stars while they're captivated by the cowboys and outlaws on a 40-foot outdoor movie screen. Moviegoers will experience all the perks that are available to Scotiabank SCENE members year round by collecting SCENE points. Not only will attendees be treated to a free movie, but the first 500 entrants will receive complementary popcorn and water. Each event will also feature a VIP section available to the first 100 Scotiabank SCENE Debit and VISA cardholders who show their Scotiabank SCENE cards.  Full event details are available at www.scotiabank.com/summeroffree
