    Media Advisory - Canadian hockey stars coach over 200 minor girls hockey players

    Cassie Campbell-Pascall and Sami Jo Small coach at ninth annual Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest, Ottawa

    OTTAWA, March 21, 2013 /CNW/ - Canadian women's hockey champions Cassie Campbell-Pascall and Sami Jo Small are teaming up to coach over 200 female minor hockey players at Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest, Ottawa.  The event takes place at Scotiabank Place and provides a unique blend of skills training, fun and encouragement to inspire girls to reach for their goals on and off the ice.

    The girls will have a fun and inspiring day of on and off-ice skills training, a tour of Scotiabank Place, and a keynote address from the former Olympians on how hard work and dedication helped them reach their goals.

    WHAT: Scotiabank Girls HockeyFest, Ottawa
       
    WHO: Cassie Campbell-Pascall, two-time Olympic team captain and gold
    medalist and former captain of the Canadian National Women's Hockey
    Team
      Sami Jo Small, two-time Olympic gold medalist and co-founder of the
    Canadian Women's Hockey League
      Steffanie Eckford, Manager of the Scotiabank Kanata branch
      Players from Carleton University and the University of Ottawa women's
    hockey teams
      Over 200 minor girls hockey players from novice, atom, peewee and
    bantam levels (ages 7 - 12 years)
       
    WHEN: Sunday, March 24, 2013
    11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. - Girls will rotate between on-ice skills training, off-ice skills training,
    a tour of Scotiabank Place and a keynote address.
    2:30 p.m. - Cassie Campbell-Pascall & Sami Jo Small keynote
