Scotiabank National Game Changer to be announced at the 100^th Grey Cup

EDMONTON, Nov. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - Edmonton's Curtis Hargrove has been named a Scotiabank National Game Changer Finalist for his passion and dedication fundraise for sick kids in Edmonton by running across Canada. Curtis will be recognized on-field at the 100^th Grey Cup in Toronto where he could win $100,000 for the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton.

"On this run I've seen my fair share of ups and downs -- I've been arrested and I've been in and out of the hospital --but it's nothing like what these kids go through," said Curtis Hargrove. "These kids are fighting every day for their life and I'm doing this because I want these kids to have the best care they can get. The $100,000 would benefit them, and the money would help fund new programs and help them get the best care possible."

About Curtis:

• Curtis is currently running across Canada with the hope of raising $1,000,000 for the Stollery Children's Hospital.
• Curtis started his run in Saint John, Newfoundland and will finish in Victoria, BC.
• He has been fundraising and working with charities his whole life, and has always shown a deep level of compassion for those in need.
• Curtis believes, "you can do anything you put your mind to" and he passes along these words to anyone looking to get involved.

Curtis is one of eight Scotiabank National Game Changer Finalists, one for every CFL market. The Scotiabank National Game Changer will be announced during the game and broadcast on TSN during the 100^th Grey Cup on November 25, 2012.
