TORONTO, June 5, 2012 /CNW/ - Scotiabank today provided a $10,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross to support the Thunder Bay community which has been affected by major flooding.
"As part of the Thunder Bay community Scotiabank is supporting the families and community through this difficult period," said Laurie Stang, Scotiabank Senior Vice-President, Ontario Region. "We want to support local residents that have been affected by the flooding."
An account has been established and donations will be accepted for Thunder Bay flood victims at any Scotiabank branch across Canada.
Funds donated will go toward the Red Cross response providing immediate relief to flood victims, as well as to meet longer-term needs for affected local residents.
