/R E P E A T -- Scotiabank Fundraiser Brings Delegates to Sixth World Conference on Breast Cancer in Hamilton/

WHAT:  At a June 8 luncheon during the 6th World Conference on Breast Cancer in Hamilton, Scotiabank will announce the total funds raised from a national lapel pin sale which provides financial assistance for delegates who could not afford to attend the five-day conference.  In addition to the lapel pin fundraiser, Scotiabank is the premier sponsor of the 6th World Conference on Breast Cancer.
   
  The lapel pin fundraiser provides sponsorships for delegates like Amy Sikacwe from Zambia.  Amy will share her inspiring story of the power and legacy of the conference, beginning with her fellow country women who attended the 2002 conference to learn how to build a support program for women in Zambia, where available resources were scarce.  Four conferences later, Amy is representing Zambia to gather new learnings. She will also tell of the significant progress that has been made in Zambia as a result of skills acquired at the World Conference on Breast Cancer.
