Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon Race Day Schedule and Media Access Information

TORONTO, Sept. 24 /CNW/ - The 21st annual Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon (STWM), Half-Marathon and 5km Run/Walk will take place in Toronto this Sunday September 26, 2010 at 7:30 a.m. This year's event is set to attract more than 20,000 runners from over 40 countries, and aims to raise more than $2.5 million for 115 local charities through the Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge. STWM will mark the historic 2,500th anniversary of the first-ever marathon run by Pheidippides in 490AD, by welcoming the official Marathon Flame for the 2010 race weekend.

Race Start Times: Full and Half-Marathon start is on University Ave, north
of Adelaide. The 5 km Run/Walk start will be at Exhibition Place, shuttle
buses will run from 8:30 am to 10:00 am from Nathan Phillips Square to
Exhibition Place.

    7:30 a.m.    Full Marathon start (42.2 km)
    7:30 a.m.    Half-Marathon start (21.1 km) with Full Marathon
    11:00 a.m.   5 km Run/Walk start

Media accreditation and sign-in is in the media/VIP tent, located at the Finish Line. (Please see attached site plan). Please refer to the road closure advisory for more details on access.

There is a limited number of spots available. Only accredited media will have access and spots should be reserved in advance. Those receiving Press Truck accreditation are required to meet Dave Reid at the media area by the Finish Line at 6:45 a.m. on Race Morning.
