TORONTO, Sept. 23 /CNW/ - The annual Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5km Run/Walk take place this Sunday September 26, 2010 starting at 7:30 a.m. An estimated 20,000 competitors are expected to participate in the race and the Scotiabank Charity Challenge, which supports 115 local charities. Spectators from neighborhoods along the race route can also support their local runner and raise money in the Neighborhood Challenge, supporting a neighborhood charity while enjoying community festivities. This year's event hopes to raise more than $2.5 million for participating local charities.

    Local Access:
    -------------

    -   Spadina Ave. will REMAIN OPEN ALL DAY for uninterrupted North-South
        traffic and Gardiner Expressway access. This is THE way in and out
        for downtown traffic.
    -   Downtown-bound traffic from the Don Valley southbound can use the
        Richmond St. exit. However, if heading west of Church St, traffic
        must first head north to Dundas St. or beyond before continuing west.
    -   Eastbound and westbound downtown traffic can flow uninterrupted all
        day on Dundas St., and all cross-streets north of Dundas St.
