ACTION Makes It Happen - November 29, 2010

TORONTO, July 20 /CNW/ - The Job Opportunity Information Network (JOIN) opened online registration for its 7th annual employer conference today.

This year's conference, "ACTION Makes It Happen", presented in partnership by the Government of Ontario and Scotiabank, will bring together more than 400 businesses and government representatives to explore how to create workplaces and marketplaces where people with disabilities are fully included.

The conference will be held on November 29, 2010 at the Hilton Hotel Toronto Downtown. It features an address by keynote speaker Val Lougheed, founder and president of Northern Lights Canada, and six workshops including one presented by the owners of O.Noir - a restaurant that employs wait staff with visual impairments, and provides a unique "in the dark" dining experience.

Employers who register for the conference before September 1, 2010 can take advantage of the Early Bird Registration fee of only $195.00. Regular conference registration fee is $250.00.

JOIN is a network of community agencies that assist persons with disabilities to find and maintain employment, and assist employers to recruit qualified candidates to meet their hiring needs.
