CALGARY, Nov. 27 /CNW/ -

WHAT: This evening at 6 p.m., Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall and
Regina Mayor Pat Fiacco will help a group of young Saskatchewan
cancer patients and their families get in the Grey Cup spirit
at a dinner hosted by Scotiabank at their hotel. The Chris Knox
Foundation has teamed up with several supporters, including
Scotiabank, to make this weekend's trip to cheer on the
Roughriders at the Grey Cup possible.

The Foundation was established in memory of Knox who died from
cancer shortly after watching his beloved Riders win the 2007
Grey Cup in Toronto. Scotiabank will also be presenting the
children with Roughriders jerseys to wear to the big game on
              Sunday!

              6 - 7 p.m.

WHERE: Travelodge Hotel Calgary Macleod Trail

              9206 Macleod Trail S.E.

Chris Knox Foundation representatives and volunteers
Colleen Bessel, Vice-President, Saskatchewan South, Scotiabank

WHY: The Chris Knox Foundation helps make it possible for children
and young adults battling cancer or in palliative care to
attend sporting, fine arts and cultural events during
treatment, giving them a much-deserved reprieve and creating
some happy memories with their families.

    * Please Note: Unfortunately, the event started late due to snow in
Calgary which delayed the group's flight. As a result, Saskatchewan
Premier Brad Wall and Regina Mayor Pat Fiacco were unable to attend
afterall due to other commitments this evening.
