Students for hire? It's Take Our Kids To Work Day!

TORONTO, Nov. 3 /CNW/ - More than 300 grade nine students are waking up early to spend a day at the office on this year's Take Our Kids To Work Day at Scotiabank. Students will learn about non-traditional careers at the Bank, visit the trading floor, job shadow their parents and much more.

    WHY:      Scotiabank Group has been a leading sponsor of Take Our Kids to
              Work Day since its inception. More than 1,200 students across
              Canada will spend the day with their parents at Scotiabank as
              tellers, traders, administrators, managers and executives,
              working in various roles at the Bank and its subsidiaries.

              In its 15th year, Take Our Kids To Work Day is a national
              program organized by the Learning Partnership - a non-profit,
              national organization which brings together business,
              education, government, labour, policy makers and the community
              to develop partnerships that strengthen public education in
              Canada. Every year, on the first Wednesday of November,
              approximately 250,000 grade nine students from across Canada
              take part in a one day-long job shadow experience at
              approximately 75,000 businesses and organizations.
