TORONTO, Nov. 2 /CNW/ - Scotiabank executives are teaming up with NHL Alumni Darryl Sittler and Mark Napier to join kids between the ages of 7-18 from United Way agencies in a friendly hockey game in support of Scotia Hope, Scotiabank's 2009 United Way Leadership Campaign.

WHAT:     A friendly two-period hockey game between NHL Alumni,
              Scotiabankers and United Way agency youth to support United Way
              Toronto.

    WHY:      Scotia Hope, Scotiabank's 2009 employee leadership campaign for
              United Way encourages employees to join the leadership campaign
              and give hope to neighbourhoods in the GTA. Scotiabank
              employee's target goal hopes to raise more than $4.85 million
              this year to help women, men, youth and children in our
              community. This money will help address the very serious
              challenges of hunger and homelessness and help Canadian
              newcomers and youth build new lives right across the GTA.
