    TORONTO, Aug. 24 /CNW/ -WHAT:  Epilepsy Toronto is holding its first-ever Scotiabank BuskerBall,
           just days prior to Scotiabank BuskerFest itself. Guests will be
           introduced to a magical world of an elegant street festival
           brought indoors, with trees, park benches and giant balloons all
           part of the decor.

           A fundraiser for the great work that Epilepsy Toronto does for
           people and their families living with epilepsy, this evening of
           fun and foolery features familiar market and festival fare served
           with elegant flare, live and silent auctions, a balloon-dress
           fashion show, and an intimate preview of some of the world's most
           spectacular and unique performers headlining this year's festival
           (which runs August 27-30 throughout the St. Lawrence Market
           neighbourhood)!

    WHERE: St. Lawrence North Market, 92 Front Street E. and adjacent Market

    WHO:   Honourary Co-Chairs are George Smitherman, Deputy Premier,
           Minister for Energy and Infrastructure and MPP Toronto Centre; and
           Robin Hibberd, Executive Vice President, Personal Lending,
           Scotiabank. CTV's Tom Hayes hosts. 300 guests are expected.

           -  New vaudevillian clown Dado from Germany
           -  Dirty Dishes, 3 female musicians who love to dish the musical
              dirt
           -  Dr. Draw, Silver Elvis and the Privy People from Toronto
           -  Acrobatic duo Dream State Circus from the UK and Australia
           -  Lurk, the clown with an attitude from New Zealand
           -  Magicians Magic Brian (New York) and Max T. Oz (Whitby)
           -  Pedro, the Sculptor Clown from Portugal
           -  Traditional jugglers Senmaru & Yuki from Japan
           -  The Piano Juggler from USA
           -  'Top Balloon Dress Designer' Debbie Stevens of The Twisted Ones
              from Toronto who will also create astonishing balloon dresses
              to be worn by celebrities in the fashion show.

    Why:   Epilepsy Toronto, a non-profit organization that provides support
           to more than 40,000 people living with epilepsy in this city. The
           Scotiabank BuskerBall and BuskerFest events raise funds to support
           Epilepsy Toronto's work.
