"running", the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon (STWM) offers new
incentives to lace up. With a special entry rate until January 27th and free
access to the great outdoors, this is the perfect time to register and start
training for Toronto's premier running event, which will take place this year
on Sunday September 27th 2009.
    Whether you are an experienced runner or a beginner looking to improve
your fitness, the STWM has something for everyone - runners can choose to take
part in the full marathon, half-marathon or 5k event.

awarded the prestigious International Association of Athletics Federation
Silver Label (IAAF) status, putting it on par with other great city marathons

well as being awarded the IAAF's Silver Label status, the half-marathon and
5k, celebrate their 20th anniversary this year, making it one of Toronto's
oldest running events. Many celebrations and festivities will take place to
mark this special year and ensure it is the biggest and best that Toronto has
