Local Charities Celebrate Record Breaking Funds Raised at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon

    TORONTO, Nov. 25 /CNW/ -WHAT      More than $1.4 million was raised at this year's Scotiabank
              Toronto Waterfront Marathon and this evening, 17 local
              charities will be recognized. The local organizations will
              receive prizing totalling $70,000 on behalf of funds
              collectively raised at the event through the Scotiabank Group
              Charity Challenge and the Neighbourhood Challenge. Members of
              the media also competed in a media challenge, raising funds for
              their charity of choice.
