ScotiaMcLeod Announces Portfolio Advisor Changes for Two of its Funds

    TORONTO, Nov. 6 /CNW/ - ScotiaMcLeod today announced portfolio advisor
changes for two of its funds.
    Effective January 6, 2009 the following portfolio advisor change will
take place:
    Thornburg Investment Management, Inc. (Thornburg) will become portfolio
advisor for the Pinnacle International Equity Fund, replacing Wellington
Management Company, LLP. Founded in 1982, Thornburg Investment Management is
an employee-owned investment management firm based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
They manage assets of approximately $43 billion for bond funds, equity funds,
and separate accounts for institutional and high net worth clients.
    Effective February 5, 2009 the following portfolio advisor change will
take place:
    Scheer, Rowlett & Associates Investment Management Ltd. (Scheer Rowlett)
will become portfolio advisor for the Pinnacle Canadian Value Equity Fund,
replacing BonaVista Asset Management Ltd. Scheer Rowlett manages approximately
$4 billion in assets, specializing in value-oriented, Canadian equities and
balanced mandates. Scheer Rowlett is a member of the Connor, Clark & Lunn
Financial Group of companies, one of Canada's largest and fastest growing
asset management firms whose affiliated managers are collectively responsible
for the investment of over $35 billion in financial assets on behalf of
institutional, private and retail clients.
    Thornburg and Scheer Rowlett will join a strong lineup of portfolio
advisors already featured in the Pinnacle Program.
