Scotiabank 'calls up' 25 teams to be featured on pre-game show TORONTO, Oct. 8 /CNW/ - Scotiabank is giving minor hockey league teams across the country a chance to introduce Canada's top broadcast, CBC's Hockey Night in Canada, to millions of hockey fans nation-wide. 'Scotiabank Hockey Tonight Kids' will select 25 teams to be featured on the pre-game show 'Scotiabank Hockey Tonight', hosted by Ron MacLean. "The Scotiabank Hockey Tonight Kids program was an absolute hit with the kids last year and we're thrilled to be 'calling up' another 25 teams this season," said John Doig, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Scotiabank. "We have always been proud of our support of minor hockey in Canada and we're thrilled to be giving kids across the country a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience the excitement of Hockey Night in Canada and the big leagues." With the first minor league team's introduction set to air on October 11th, parents, coaches, and team managers are busy entering on behalf of their teams. House league teams, ages 8 to 16, are still eligible to enter, and must submit a team photo and a short story explaining why their team should be chosen as the next 'Scotiabank Hockey Tonight Kids.'
