TORONTO, June 12 /CNW/ - 1,200 runners, many in "cheesy" rat-inspired costumes, will be poised at the entrance of Scotia Plaza to run 5km for United Way this evening. This flood of "rats" will scurry up Bay Street and down Yonge Street as part of the 8th Annual Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way. Pre-race festivities will feature live music and entertainment as well as an array of free food and beverages. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest finishers and best-dressed rats at the "Big Cheese" after-party.WHAT: 8th Annual Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way WHERE: Scotia Plaza, 40 King St. W.
