VANCOUVER, May 30 /CNW/ - Scotiabank is literally hitting the road in a specially-equipped RV to deliver information, advice and tools to small business owners across the country to help them grow their businesses to the next level. On Tuesday, June 3, the RV makes its first stop in Vancouver for a presentation at Scotiabank Theatre featuring local and national small business experts who will share success strategies.What: Media are invited to visit the RV prior to and following the event to speak with the presenters and "test drive" the unique tools and resources developed to help small business owners grow their companies. Inside the theatre, the Hon. Rick Thorpe, MLA (Okanagan- Westside), Minister of Small Business and Revenue will open the program at noon with remarks highlighting small business in BC and recent achievements by the provincial government. Afterwards, Leanne Kripp, owner of Jack & Lola Kids Clothing, and Kyle McNamara, Scotiabank's Managing Director of Small Business, will discuss the challenges and opportunities of starting a business. Keynote speaker Michael Hepworth, President, Street Smart Results Corp., a leading small business expert, coach and author, will then present a comprehensive workshop focusing on practical marketing strategies designed to help small businesses increase their sales and profits.
