MONTREAL, April 18 /CNW/ - The sixth edition of the Banque Scotia 21k de Montréal half marathon race will take place on Sunday, April 20 at Parc Jean-Drapeau. Scotiabank, which already sponsors races of international calibre in Toronto, Vancouver and Halifax, is proud to be supporting the Montreal race, all the proceeds of which will go this year to Fondation Mira, an organization which works at increasing the autonomy of the handicapped.What : - The Banque Scotia 21k de Montréal, a half-marathon of international calibre which is part of the Canada Running Series - A 5 km race will also be held. - The race is part of the Canadian Half Marathon Championships. - The event is sponsored by Scotiabank in support of Fondation Mira to which all proceeds will be remitted. When : Sunday, April 20, 2008 9 a.m. 5 km start 10 a.m. Half Marathon start Noon Awards Ceremony at the Complexe Aquatique Where : Parc Jean-Drapeau. Who : Top athletes from Canada and around the world as well as anyone wanting to challenge themselves by running a race. Parking is available, but it is strongly recommended that participants use the Metro to get to Parc Jean-Drapeau. Media Access : a room will be reserved for the media inside the Complexe Aquatique.
