to announce a new partnership initiative with Western Union.
    Scotiabank and Western Union launched a pilot program in December 2007 to
provide money transfers from a small number of branches to any of Western
Union's 320,000 Agent locations in over 200 countries and territories. This
pilot has been extended to include Scotiabank's more than 1,000 branches
across the country and Scotia OnLine.What:  Media will be provided with a demonstration of the service and
           given the chance to ask questions.
