TORONTO, March 19 /CNW/ - Scotiabank today announced that Derek Holt is joining the Scotia Capital trading desk as Vice-President, Economics. "Derek Holt is a highly respected analyst and advisor with extensive background and expertise in the financial services industry," said Warren Jestin, Senior Vice-President and Chief Economist, Scotiabank. Mr. Holt, who studied economics, finance and business administration at York University and the University of Toronto, joins Scotiabank after a lengthy stay at another Canadian financial institution. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and experienced economics advisor, he will focus on fixed income and equity markets at Scotia Capital, while also providing financial markets forecasting and institutional-side analysis.
