Scotiabank calls on hockey fans to build creative replicas of the Cup Live 'Build-off' in downtown Toronto will feature the real Stanley Cup(TM), NHL alumni and 10 teams to inspire the public TORONTO, March 7 /CNW/ - Canadians, get out your duct tape, soup cans, car parts or pasta noodles - it's time to 'Build Stanley(TM).' In a new contest that challenges hockey fans to build replicas of the Stanley Cup using ordinary materials, Scotiabank will recognize Canada's creative spirit and send two winners and their guests to a Stanley Cup Final game.What: To launch the contest, Scotiabank is hosting a live 'build-off' event at Toronto's Dundas Square on Friday March 14th, 2008. The launch event will feature 10 teams from across the city representing a range of different industries who will build Cups to be entered in the contest. The real Stanley Cup will be present at the event to inspire the teams and NHL Alumni Johnny Bower and Mark Napier will be on hand to cheer teams on. Scotiabank will make a donation of $500 on behalf of each team to a charity of their choice.
