working with Cassie as part of our team, bringing together our wide range of
hockey partnerships to create new and exciting opportunities to be part of
this great game in communities from coast to coast. What better way to launch
our partnership than by bringing her inspirational message to a group of
people who represent the future of sport and our communities in general."
"I am excited to partner with Scotiabank as they continue to distinguish
themselves through involvement in hockey programs across the country," said
Cassie Campbell. "I value their interest in a sport that has been a
significant influence in my life, and support their efforts to find new ways
to involve Canadians in the game. Having been a part of women's hockey, I look
forward to working with Scotiabank as they explore opportunities in this
area."
Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute is home of the Birchmount
Exceptional Athlete Program (BEAP), a specialized program where students
competing at the Provincial level or higher are given appropriate guidance and
training to excel in their individual sport. The high school is known for its
excellence in academics, athletics and extra-curricular programs.
"It is very important for young kids to be given access to role-models
and leaders in our communities - these are individuals who are a positive
influence on our society," said Armand VanBochove, Vice-Principal at
Birchmount Collegiate Institute. "Ms. Campbell's visit shows our students that
they can set out to achieve their dreams by believing in themselves - no
matter how big the dream."

Scotiabank Place in Ottawa. The event is presented by the Ottawa Senators in

bantam-aged girls with an opportunity to improve their on-ice game skills and
off-ice life skills, celebrate and learn about the game of hockey with their
peers all while having the opportunity to skate on the same ice as their
hockey heroes.
