NEPEAN, ON, Nov. 9 /CNW/ - On Saturday, November 10, 2007, the Scotiabank-sponsored Nepean Veterans Poppy Plaque will be officially presented to Nepean-area veterans in the presence of Nepean elected officials and other dignitaries at Ben Franklin Place from 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. In recognition of the service and sacrifice of the Nepean-area veterans and surviving spouses of the Second World War, Scotiabank is very pleased to be the sponsor for the production of this unique, all-weather plaque that Nepean area veterans can proudly display inside or outside of their homes. The Poppy Plaque design and program were officially presented earlier in October and this will be the first presentation of the Poppy Plaques to the veterans of Nepean. "In partnership with the Nepean Museum and the Royal Canadian Legion, Scotiabank is very proud of this unique recognition program to honour and celebrate veterans and their surviving spouses here in Nepean.
