3-year renewal includes major commitment at League and Member Club level TORONTO, Aug. 15 /CNW/ - The Canadian Football League (CFL) and Scotiabank today announced a three-year national partnership renewal, supported by local partnerships with six CFL Member Clubs. The partnership renewal with the League extends through the 2009 season and grants Scotiabank status as the Official Bank of the CFL and Grey Cup. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. "We are very proud of our ongoing partnership with the CFL and its teams across Canada," said John Doig, Senior Vice-President Marketing, Scotiabank. "This is an exciting year as we celebrate our League and team partnerships and look forward to the festivities of the 95th Grey Cup in Toronto - a celebration for all of Canada to enjoy. In addition to their renewed partnerships with the League, BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Scotiabank also becomes the Official Bank of the Edmonton Eskimos, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. As part of the 2007 Grey Cup Festival in Toronto, Scotiabank will present the Grey Cup Gala at Liberty Grand on Saturday, November 24th, 2007, title the Over the Top Lounge at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and host the Cross Canada Tailgate Party on Bremner Blvd., a free celebration open to the public, beginning at noon on November 25, 2007.
