Diana Ziliute keeps yellow jersey STRATFORD, PE, June 13 /CNW/ - Jocelyn Loane (of the National Australian Team) has won Stage 4 of the Tour de PEI, a circuit that began in Dalvay and finished in Stratford. In second place was Russia's Elena Novikova, followed by Giorgia Bronzini of Italy. Among the general rankings, Diana Ziliute (Safi Pasta Zara Manhattan) maintained her right to win the yellow jersey. The Lithuanian has a comfortable - 1 minute, 22 seconds - lead over Alexandra Burchenkova of Russia. In third place is Australian Olivia Gollan (Menikini-Selle Italia-Gysko), who came in at 1 minute, 23 seconds from the pole position. Today's race once again saw the Russian team take an early lead in the first laps. The pace remained steady throughout this circuit, while somewhat slow - most likely due to the athletes' significant efforts in Stages 2 and 3, which were particular windy. Rochelle Gilmore (Menikini-Selle Italia-Gysko) maintained her right to the Best sprinter jersey, while Giorgia Bronzini won the Best points jersey and Annette Beutler the Best climber classification. A five-stage race presented by Scotiabank, the Tour de PEI runs from June 10 to 14. The final stage, a spectacular Criterium around the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown, will be held tomorrow. Results will be posted at www.tourdepei.com.
